Understanding and Altering Shield Plans

Bunny Shield plans are tiered, such that even at basic level protection is very resilient. However there is an understanding that granular control is required for larger projects, so the product is tiered to scale with those tailored demands.

Tiers

All tiers have a continually updated and robust set of security features so no Shield user is left behind. When enabling Shield or comparing plans, you'll be presented with this table and the pull zones current tier selection (all tiers start in Learning mode when enabled for the first time):

Each tier has some specific additional features above the basic tier.

Basic: The basic tier offers a solid foundation of Shield protection - including a basic WAF package, full DDoS protection as well as some limited inspection features and custom access control list definitions (IP, ASN detection etc).

Advanced: Recommended for small scale projects/commerce. Advanced comes a larger suite of WAF rule triggers, along with custom WAF rule integration in order to redefine the WAF experience you need (for configuration information, see here). Vital bot protection (especially in todays standards) helps mitigate unwanted scraping/bot behaviour, but can also be fine-tuned - as well as access list restriction and other expanded features.

Business: This is recommended for larger scale projects - the Shield features and engine are more granular, as well as more complex in identifying bad actors. Business tier also comes with a wealth of additional custom rules to ad as well as a large set of access control list customization.

Enterprise: Enterprise gains you access to unlimited ruling and more complex scanning; but also a dedicated onboarding session with our Security engineers. Our engineers can meticulously guide you through the product, check your triggers/rules, make recommendation actions and more. We also provider enhanced SLAs for Shield-related trouble.
