DDoS Mitigation provides an essential service that is ever more important in todays age of crawling/bad actors targeting sites. DDoS Mitigation has some flexible options to consider.
Challenge
A challenge presents a user to complete a scripted check on the browser. This can block out bad actors such as scripted/automated scrapes or attacks, as they lack the ability to pass the challenge. The challenge can be configured for a predefined time. Once a challenge has passed, a challenge will be presented again in the browser session once the defined challenge window has expired.
Sensitivity
Each sensitivity level increases how closely the system monitors and responds to potential DDoS activity (in the form of stateful awareness). At higher levels, responses become faster and more proactive, including the use of challenge windows when needed.
Log Analysis
We strongly recommend reviewing DDoS triggers and logs, and making adjustments within the DDoS Mitigation panel accordingly.
