What does the status code 499 mean?

A 499 status code is an internal server code that indicates a client has closed the connection before the server could process the request and send a response. This status code usually appears in pull zone logs rather than being displayed to users. It can occur due to various reasons, such as interruptions in mobile networks or when a file request is blocked by an ad blocker.

Although seeing a 499 error might seem concerning, it is a common occurrence and generally does not indicate a problem with the server itself. Instead, it reflects that the client terminated the connection, possibly due to network issues or user actions like closing the browser or webpage prematurely.
